When I went to my first fan meet, which was up at Stan's, at lake Houston I met lots of great human beings.  One was a fellow named Rick Huckabee.  He was giving demo's on stator winding.   He hand some pre measured skeins of wire and let us give it a try.  I was not very good at it at all.  I expressed my reservations about being able to master that skill.  He indicated that he had learned from a fellow named Stanley Lamb.  I have since come to realize that these are two of our best human beings in the association.  Their tireless patients with me has been more than a blessing.  With Rick's admonition, "if it is broke, just fix it" I began rewinding chokes.

From my first home made winder make of wood and nails I was off and running.  For those of you who know me understand that I have a horrible memory.  I call it (CRS). I progressed, out of need for accurate turn counts, to a small hand winder mounted on a board, again with a nail for a spool holder and wire run stables as wire guides.  Well all that has led me to a new winder that meets my need of accurate turn counts and a smooth wire distribution.  Thought you might like to see it.

I have no idea how to even begin winding coils, but I want one...

I see the clamshell in the background!
