A friend of ours called all excited because she found a really neat old fan for me at a garage sale. Well that got me interested so after an hour drive to pick up this rare find.....here it is.
Of course I was I  acted all thankful as you never know, she might just find the real deal someday. Fortunately my wife is very crafty and loved it. So now it is all painted and stuck in the ground in our garden. And yes, it does spin when the wind blows.
Now don't everybody jump in and try to buy this rare find as I am sure very few exist out there.

Sometimes that's how the wind blows.

Good one, James. I have our friends and neighbors trained not to throw away anything without consulting me first. Being a dumpster diver from way back I have collected many "treasures" that way.

But, you never know! I have friends sending me pictures of fans from all over the country. Most aren't worth the email, but every once in a while a gem will show up! It all part of the fun!

Indeed. I love the hunt and then resurrecting a 100 year old rusty treasure. The R&M telephone booth in the photo was such a find. Removed from an old home refurb project is was missing parts, not running and in poor condition. I could not let it die so here it is now.

BTW, the walls in my house are vertical, unlike the attached pic. I wonder why that happens?
