This little GE has a special place in my heart. I'm used to small fans being noisy, badly designed, and just utter crap. But after I rewired this little guy and switched him on I was pretty amazed as to how reliable it is.

The cord is new twisted cord from VWSCo, and the plug is not original, but is from the late 30s/early 40s. I've run it nonstop for 3 hours, and it gets about as hot as you'd expect the smaller fans from then to get. Great for a daily runner!

Asking $SOLD + actual shipping through Etsy, or you can stop by and pick it up in Fort Collins, CO.

P.S. - I can see how members here might be iffy about an outsider rewiring a fan to sale, I'll go through my process...

I took the stator and and un-soldered the original cord from the magnet wire, clipped off the magnet wire where there was old solder, and soldered on a new connection after sanding the oxidization off of the magnet wire. Then I covered the new solder joints with heat shrink tubing and friction tape. Lastly, I sprayed the stator with electrical insulating varnish before reassembly. Besides the cord, the only non-original part is one of the screws for the back of the motor housing, otherwise it's all there.

I sincerely would if I could afford it, Chris. I think I may be the youngest person to own an account and post on the forum. I was 16 when I officially signed up. Now I'm in college and have to pay off tuition bills. If fan and decal selling turns out to become a good business then I will definitely become a member. I love the AFCA.

Over 18. Is it a one-time payment? or monthly?

Oh wow! You win haha. It's always awesome when younger people are interested in preserving this stuff.
