The seller has two one looks to be black and the other green. The green one looks to have something other than brass blades, hard to tell from the picture. Both have the handle at the top not sure if either work. What would be a good price range?

Price depends very much on overall condition as well as the particular model, brass cage or steel. Painted blades are aluminum from 1930 on ward. I have a nice unrestored one for $250, it's the first fan in my For Sale blog: http://earlyfans.blogspot.com I'd recommend a 1924 or earlier AOU because they are all cast iron construction on motor and base. Later ones have stamped steel motor and base with a two year changeover on the base. My 1930 one for sale is just as good since it is in perfect condition and never messed with and runs like a new fan. Last edited on Wed Feb 14th, 2018 02:05 am by Steve Stephens |
