Hello everyone,

I just received a new order of vinyl speed control labels, though this will likely be the last order as my costs have risen dramatically from my supplier. So get them while they last. Unfortunately I've had to raise the price as well. I can offer them at $10 each, or 5 for $45.  Minimum order is now 2 pcs. It's just not worth driving to the post office for a single label. Sorry to have to pass along the increase, but they are nice labels and I think you'll like them.

I'm offering 2 options on shipping this time as some have asked for it. Option 1 is USPS flat rate shipping. Cost for 2 or 50 pcs is the same, $7.50.  They are insured, and have a tracking number. I'll also be willing to drop them in an envelope and put a stamp on it for the cost of a stamp, but labels shipped this way are NOT insured, no tracking is available and you assume all risk, but it's far cheaper. Your choice.

If preordered and paid, I'll also gladly deliver them to Fan Fair or the Northeast meets for no shipping charge. Payment is via PayPal Friends and family.

As this will likely be the last order, don't wait to order your's. They went very fast last time. If there are any left, I'll have them at Fan Fair, but I have my doubts.

If you haven't ordered them before, they are very faithful to the original fonts and spacing. They can be also used for a variety of other fans including Emerson, but you will need to trim the backing to separate the labels for individual use.

I have the following types:

GE BMY style metallic gold only

R&M style- metallic gold only

Century 1,2,3,4,5. Metallic Silver Only - SOLD OUT

Century 1,2,3,4,SLOW- metallic gold or silver

To order, please send me a PM with your order listing what you want as described above, the quantity you want and shipping method. I'll send you a message back with the total and my paypal address. Please note that my new address is slightly different than a year ago, so please double check you have the right PP address.

Thanks for your interest in them and looking forward to seeing/ meeting you at fanfair. By the way, I'll also have the original purple synthetic oil ( yes that good stuff) and some other supplies at FF.

As soon as I get a free moment, I'll post a diagram of what they look like.

Thanks,

Lane

Here are some pics of the labels. Top images show the font style, and the 3 bottom ones are applied to fans. The top 2 fan images are credited to Dean Steinhaus, who has used them multiple times. His are clearcoated over. The last image is my R&M without any clearcoat.
Please note that silver are in VERY SHORT SUPPLY as I did not reorder them this time. Stock is limited to what was left from the last order.

If you don't indicate silver, I'll be shipping gold labels. There is some debate about the silver labels. My theory is from restoring quite a few Singer sewing machines. On them, and I suspect these fans also, the label was originally a 3 layer label. White base, silver metallic layer then a gold tint layer. As I found on the Singer decals, if you use the wrong polishes or cleaners ( especially ammonia) the gold layer quickly goes away. If you keep cleaning, so does the silver metallic, leaving white where the decals once were. I believe it to be the same on these fans.

So your choice until the silver ones are sold.

Note the pics below are not scaled the same. All types are roughly the same size font, as original.

Century "Slow" - gold or silver

Century "5"- silver only- SOLD OUT

R&M- gold only

GE BMY type- Gold or Silver

And here's how they look applied:
GE with clearcoat

Emerson using GE label- must separate numbers to apply- clearcoated

R&M- no clearcoat

Thanks to all who have ordered so far!   If you're on the fence, don't wait too long, as some styles are going fast and will run out soon. Shipment #1 will leave on Friday .

I think I got at least one of each style, they have arrived and are excellent. Great job and thanks Lane.

I give them 4.99 stars. Not a whole 5 star rating only because now I have work to do.

These are a great (easy) way to make a a restoration look look like it should.

Thanks Jamie! I'm glad that you like them.

Yes it means some work, but just a little. Just wait to crack open the admiration beer until AFTER you've applied your labels, otherwise you might be back for extras.

Cheers,

Lane

I'm no amateur drinker and you have it backwards.  3 fingers of depth of a pint bottle of blended whisky before applying the labels will steady your hand and prevent any mistakes.  You are already sold out of some of these labels, no need to take unnecessary risks!

GEs yes, but there never were ones for Emerson's they used others and cut the joined numbers apart and used them separately.

The ones on Dean's Emerson above are the GE , cut apart and applied individually.

Jeff , if you want them for the meet, please send PayPal asap. Closing the door soon on orders. $10 each or $9 if 5 or more. PayPal is mangodaytona@outlook.com
