I ran across one like this in the shed, it is an Atlas Aire Port-About window fan that came out of my grandparents house.  These pics are not the actual fan, mine is identical, in a bit worse condition, but works perfectly.  I have fan and frame.

I just have a question or two as I can't find much about it.
What have I got?
What is it worth?
Any reason not to use it?

I put a new cord on it as the old one was bare and frayed, it kicks a good bit if air around the shop.

Thanks

no reason not to use it and it isnt worth any more than the other fans for sale, if someone wants it bad enough they would pay. i would not think on ebay that spirited bidding would go over $150. if yours works and be cleaned up, then enjoy it!

No kiddin'?  I figured $25-$30 at most.  There is one 1/4 fin/rail missing from the front grate and some rust on the inner barrel.  That and the dial indicator is gone.

I have been using it just as a floor fan in the shop.

Thanks
