Found at the town dump couple weeks ago. I would like to restore it. Normally I enjoy working on garden tractors. Should be fun working on this fan. I haven't been able to find a wiring diagram for this. I did take pictures of the current wiring but it's a complete mess. The motor field windings are toast.Ill see if I can find a repair shop or maybe ill just replace them myself.

It looks like the wiring is intact, though crumbly, so just mark everything and replace the wiring one by one. You might do best posting in the BST section for a motor, as a rewind will be more than the value of the fan. Also make sure to check that the cap is good. Sometimes they're bad.
Best of success and welcome to the forum!

Thanks. I got a PM from Jack Smith. He shared his thread that he restored the same exact fan. Jack did a great job. Ill replace the compacitor, switch, and resistor as they're fairly cheap. I agree that the motor windings look mostly intact. I'm not sure if I can trust it though. I would like to give myself a challenge of rewinding the motor haha  :D . Most of the thin insulators separating the windings were crumbling and missing. Would this have caused a short out?

That motor's windings might of been fine if you would of reinsulated them with insulating varnish, because the motor's windings still looks good yet, from what I could see of them in your pictures.
