I need help with this switch wiring.

There are five leads from the speed coil as shown in the drawing.
I assume the three leads from the one coil go to the three speed contacts but ???
I can make it all run but I don't get any speed change.

Any help would be appreciated

Here is a photo of the switch itself. Dave

Dave, A lead from the stator goes to the hi tap, one goes to an AC on the switch and one goes to the input to the choke coil. That's the way I wired my R&M 2410. You have two leads going to the hi tap, that may be the problem. And it looks like your going to have an extra lead off the coil for some reason. Two leads running off the photo from the coil. That's not the original coil so you just might not be able to use it at all.

Yeah, I was wondering about that... it looks like a C-frame motor core to me. Does it even fit the transformer core snugly, Dave? If it doesn't or there isn't any iron (I see a wood block) running inside the coil, then it's completely useless, unfortunately.

Thanks:
What you refer to as a wood block is the center of the metal frame pcs.
It is wound the same as the original coil that was the original.
As it shows in the drawing there is a coil with 3 taps for speeds and a separate coil with two end taps that I think are for the start windings.
I'm looking for how to hook it up as the wires were taken apart when I got it.
      Thanks, Dave

Dave, I'm just saying that the coil that's there right now probably has little chance of being effective even if it is wired correctly because it is so much smaller than the original coil, or at least appears to be.

Maybe these pictures of my 2404 switch will help.

My speed coil had unraveled so what you see is a repair job.

Thanks for the help! I have it running but I need to add more resistance to the speed coil as there is only a very small change in the speed.  Dave
