Hi, If any one has a Edison fan want to sell, please let me know. Missing parts or cage is fine, but wish to have a clear trademark. Although I prefer the one with trademark, please still let me know even if it do not carry. Thanks! Glenn

Hi Terry, thank you for your info. The fully restored one does not have the trademark. The other one come with a broken repro trademark (decal). I might bid on the 2nd one if I cannot find a better one within AFCA.  By the way, does any one produce a repro decal here? Thanks! Glenn

Glen: Could probably be duplicated as a sticker, but my opinion it would take away from the fan - probably some guys who pinstripe could do it. Here is my Edison with a original logo and paint.

Glen, you are sharp to see that the trademark on this ebay fan is a modern decal and it does not match the originals in the details plus you can see the outline of the decal.

This same fan has been relisted probably over 4 times on ebay in the past year. While the fan motor itself looks pretty good, the blade and cage do not belong to the fan so a buyer would have to have a rcorrect blade and cage made. That would add considerably to the cost of the completed fan which is, in my opinion, too high priced as it is. And others must think the same since the fan isn't selling yet.

Alan Wilms here in the SF bay area has several Edison fans for sale so you might want to check with him. One he had at Fanfair was a nice original though the paint striping and maybe the trademark was somewhat faint. It was a fairly early one with a nice motor tag.

Steve, Thanks for your advise. I will get hold with Alan to see if the one with Trademark still available. What kind of price do you believe to be fair? Thanks!

Glenn, I sent you an email with some photos. Prices will vary quite a bit but, in the end, you may end up paying a considerable amount for a nice fan. They just aren't that easy to find though they aren't rare either. Usually several a year turn up on ebay but not all are really nice ones. Price will depend somewhat on how badly you want one and how lucky you are in finding one priced right. Good luck, they are nice fans.

Steve,

What about the blade makes you think that it is not an original Edison?

Do you mean the fan on ebay?

Blade is a 12" one (too big) on that one and wings are the wrong shape. It's an old blade but not an Edison blade.
