Thanks to google book snippets I was able to piece together some Freshy history. Cory Corporation was formed on May 29, 1946. Fresh'nd-aire was already a subsidary of Cory Corp. prior to 46 as a division of the Cory Glass Coffee Brewer Co.

[Hospital management: Volume 62 1946 - Snippet view The Cory Glass Coffee Brewer Co. has become the Cory Corporation, maintaining offices at 221 N. La Salle St. Chicago. ... sales and manufacturing activities respectively of the Fresh'nd-Aire Co., 221 N. La Salle St., Chicago, 111. Maj. ...]

[Marketing: text and cases J. Thomas Cannon, Jack Wichert - 1953 - 627 pages - Snippet view On May 29, 1946, the Cory Corporation was formed, and on June i the new corporation acquired the assets and assumed the liabilities of the Cory Division and of the Fresh'nd Aire Division of the Cory Glass Coffee Brewer Company. ...]

During the WW11 Freshys were manufacturer in limited numbers. Not sure when Fresh'nd-aire became a division of Cory Glass Coffee Brewer Co.

[Marketing: text and cases J. Thomas Cannon, Jack Wichert - 1953 - 627 pages - Snippet view It became known as the Fresh'nd Aire Division of the Cory Glass Coffee Brewer Company. During the war the company was permitted to manufacture Cory brewers and a limited number of air circulators in accordance with War Production Board ...]

Sooooo...Fresh'nd-aire became a division of CORY CORPORATION in spring of 1946. The only evidence we have I am aware of SO FAR to support a date the BADGE was on the cage is.........1948. This evidence is a 1948 Freshy advertisement.
