I know its a long shot, but if someone has a stump with a switch assembly they would be willing to part with please contact me. Thanks, Craig

Hey Craig,

I'm in the process of cleaning up one I found that didn't have a switch.  I had an 1510 base with a switch, borrowed it for the 1520, and it fits fine and works great.

You probably have a better chance of someone having a 1510 stump with a switch.

You're right on the "slim chance" of finding that! Jim McLaughlion's Emerson survey, as of several years ago, showed only six 1520's to exist that we know of. I'm lucky enough to have one of them! Does yours make it seven?

Good fan!

Rod

I had no idea that there were so few of them around, now I feel privileged to have worked on one. My customer has already picked up the fan, wish someone would have mentioned the survey last week when I first posted about it.

Just found an Emerson 1510 untouched for many years.
I too was not aware that they were so scarce.
Now looking for the tiny fiber washers in the centrifugal starter.
These are probably a shop built item.

I am fortunate enough to own 2 1520 Emerson fans, #404943 and #405034. The former is an older restoration and the latter, I recently acquired and needs some TLC. Fortunately, Jerry Bravi will be able to provide me with a new 16" blade for the fan that needs the TLC. I can personally attest to the quality of the parts he produces for antique fans, his work is top notch and reasonably priced. It is possible that I may have a switch from a 1510 or even a 11648, I will have to look though my parts. Let me know if you are still in the market.
