i have the identical fan in that shape too.

and yes, those blades swing really fast and are made of flimsy metal.

I have a fan just like that as well, blades unpainted though.

Happens to be the 2nd fan ever in my collection, first ever at an auction. And the only one that doesn't run at this time.  Many titles attached to this fan now that I think about it. :D

So Kevin, Its your 2nd fan in your collection you restored that doesn't run but, the 1st that has painted blades that is a Koldair made by Knapp Monarch that you bought at a auction for the 1st time?
Did I forget any commas?

Good save Ryan!:thumbup

I just balanced one of these last night...what a joy. It shook when I got it...kind of shook a few times during the spin up then hammered once it was at full speed. I found the rotor itself was way out. Started by balancing that...then attached the blades and balanced as a whole. Couldn't quite get it perfect but its much better. Still shakes a few times during spin up but doesn't hammer anywhere near as bad when its up to speed. But it does still hammer a bit. Do you think if I spend another hour at it and try to get that last little bit out of it it'd stop it altogether?
