Picked up a 14666. I have removed several stators from fans but there was always enough room to tap the stator out from the rear through the vent holes. With the 6 pole motor there seems to be no room to place a punch.

Any suggestions? I know the stator has been removed before as it has a weird headwire on it.

Since the fan has been into before I am curious if these wedges are suppose to be in place. They look like they could be right, just want to make sure.

The shims are original, sometimes i've replaced them, other time not. I always use the pipe trick to remove stators.

Had to look up the pipe trick....no worries about busting the cast iron? And yes I know we are not slamming but more of a love tap.

Thanks Ralph! Came right out using the pipe trick. Much better than trying to tap it out from behind....when dealing with fan.
