Anyone have or know of a decent-looking Vortalex Pedestal fan for sale?  I've only been able to find one, on eBay, and it's way too expensive for a fan with it's wires cut.

I'm in Chicago.

Do these fans not ship well, or do you think a shipping company would be able to box it safely?

People have shipped them but this is a fan that is big enough to get damaged. I just wouldn't chance it plus the cost would be fairly high.

I understand. There are companies that specialize in packaging and shipping difficult items, and if you change your mind I'm happy to arrange that.

Does anyone else have one for sale?

Brian, hook a ride with one of the members that are coming to the East Coast meets in Allentown Area, NJ or Philly.
I have a nice restorable 12" that I might be putting out for sale. All original paint, runs as expected. I'm also not interested in shipping it. Too much risk for damage. I also have an identical Ped base with switch that I might be selling. Haven't decided yet.

Pm me if you can arrange something and we can discuss price.

Cheers,

Lane

Lane,

I appreciate the offer, and it sounds like fun, but I don't anticipate having time to go to NJ or PA (or anywhere else) for a weekend.

What size are you looking for, a 24 inch?

Mike,

I bought one already, thanks. And it's sitting in your shop :)
