Hi all - new to AFCA and looking for help on my Hunter Zephair desk fan. I recently purchased this fan and the blades are bent.  Does anyone know if there is shop would straighten these fan blades?  If not does anyone have any blades for sale?

Welcome to the forum! Use the search feature to find past posts on "balancing blades" it's been covered many times before. There are many different ways to balance them with out a lot of high tech tools. You just need patience.

Best of success with your new fan.

I have the little brother to your fan the C12 which with mine thankfully it was already balanced and what not, but seeing the way yours done compared to mine, your blades may or may not be original to the fan because most Hunter Zephair fans had black blades and yours is unpainted, polished aluminum blades which like I said might not be original to your fan depending on the generation of your Zephair, because Hunter made the Zephair fans from the late 1930s until the 1970s when Hunter finally got out of the table and box fan business, and I know the later Zephairs from the late 1950s up until their discontinuace in the 1970s were polished aluminum blades but the Zephairs that were mid 1950s on back were black painted blades, from what I've seen so far on here.

I disagree, MOST of the Hunters I have seen have the polished aluminum blades. The majority of the black ones I have found were the round badged Hunter/Robbins-Myers version. All of my Hunter Century models have been polished aluminum. That is a holdover from the older version of the fan that was made by Century.

It is likely those blades are original.

Then how would you explain my Hunter Zephair fan that has black blades and doesn't have the round cage badge you refer to? My fan is like I said the same exact fan as his just the 12" version and has the classic Hunter Zephair cage, but has black blades.

Well for starters, yours is not a 16". The 12" came in several varieties, including a low-end shaded pole model and a higher end capacitor model, and in painted black, brushed and shiny chrome models.

The 16" came in black and chrome, both with capacitors and wide blades. I had a original black painted model with the older style cage that I have given to a friend so I'm not sure exactly when that was made but it was definitely a Memphis model with the new style switch. The majority of my 16" fans had the polished chrome blades. The catalog even states that they all have them. Its quite possible YOUR fan has had its blades painted or replaced.

I'm not an expert; I've only have had about 40 of these fans and have come across TWO with painted blades that both happened to be end of production runs.

Thanks for the info.  I will search for more info how to balance the blades.  In the mean time, does anyone have an extra set of blades for sale?
