There are three ceiling fans on eBay that are mine but the ebayer took photos of the fans I sent him and posted them as if he owns them WITHOUT MY PERMISSION.  He does NOT own the fans and has never payed me a dime, only posed as a potential buyer. I have reported this to ebay. The fans are: two Emersons, a cf20 + cf28 and a Tuerk Beehive, so please do not buy them plus they are already sold by me, the true owner.

So they posed as potential buyers, intending to sell the fans on Ebay for $XXXX and, after the sale there, buy them from you for $XXX. Gotta respect arbitrage.

Hi Andrew, Arbitrage, I think not. He never told me this was the plan, so sort of like stealing to me. Anyhow, he did remove them from ebay so all is good.

Knowing the EBay seller, I am not surprised.

Did someone other than him buy them? That is messed up if he tried to sell them when someone else already bought them.

This assumes a shred of hope that the final buyer gets fans for his $XXXX. I like your optimism!

However, I may be seeing this from a more jaded angle.  I tend to think that the pictures were used to put up a scam listing altogether. Whoever fell for that listing would have paid, received a tracking number, and the seller would have disappeared before the box of bricks arrived. :pissed

This guy lives in Tampa not to far from me. His fan auctions are a bit high priced for me. He has one on right now that has been up for months that he says is a Hunter Tuerk type C but looks like a Hunter Original to me but I could be wrong. I pointed out to him that the fan looks like a "original" and it should have the serpentine face plate  and he said that the tuerk came with both type face plates and his fan is all correct.  I still don't think it is but I am no expert. even if it is all correct I still don't see it being worth $2,500. Here is a link to that auction and a pic of the fan I am talking about.

Don, I have an all-original Type CA Tuerk with that same plate on it. I do believe they did come with a bottom plate like that.

I think it was just a preference thing. Or the CA that I had didn't drop the blades down far enough to clear the wavy plate. Those top mount brackets on the C models drop down way more than the regular ones.
