Here is a nice old 1/4hp motor. The rear terminals should be cleaned up and restored if you want to use it regularly .I applied voltage to it and it starts up immediately and runs well. I have no idea who made the motor. My best guess is it could be a marathon. $60

Would this motor have start windings, and is it CW or CCW? Wondering if I could use a Variac to control speed for a belt drive fan.
