I want to purchase a motor for a Lasko 1250 floor fan. The fan is similar to the picture shown below here.

My original motor was a 2 speed with an inline switch. Most of the Laskos that I have seen have a two speed switch that is mounted to the back grille and has a metal switch cover. I am willing to purchase either style. If you have a motor that is mounted to the back grille, then I would also like to purchase the grille and switch cover, too.

This is a google image, not my actual fan.

Thank you, Ed. I have sent the seller an email to see if they are willing to ship to Illinois.

Ed, I contacted the seller, and he was "possibly willing to ship". He wanted to increase the price from $20 to $35 because he had to find a box. So, it would be $35 sale price with shipping on top of that, of course. I was nearly willing to say yes, until he sent me a picture and video of the fan with "rattle and hum" and an after-market pull chain switch. I told him I would pass.

Hi, Craig.  I am looking for the floor version. The link you provided appears to be a small desk model.

Let me correct my statement - the original item/link you provided is no longer available. eBay thinks I am looking for a desk model.

I think your intuition is spot on. Increasing the price by $15 to find a box.... seems unreasonable and I work in the shipping industry. I will keep an eye out for a better match... I would tell this clown to take the long walk off the short pier.
