Friends:  My daughter found another fan and purchased it for me for $85 thinking it unusual and special. I quite agree.

 It's not often I have seen a chrome fan with such a blade.



The chrome is quite pitted but I shall endeavor to restore it as it deserves regardless of the expense.



Any information on this fan would be helpful and much appreciated. I'm guessing that there was a badge that I shall have to find a replacement for.

No badge for that one. That's one probably has Clinton or Washington St. address.  Dates early to mid 40s.

That's a nice fan. You can find restoration tips on this site. It's super quiet on low speed. No oscillation parts to mess with. Good luck on the restore.
