HowdyFound this DC Westy ceiling fan in an old barn, but haven’t been able to find much searching the net.

Can anyone point me to some resources or shed some light on this model?
I can’t figure out when it was made etc..

Says it’s a model 196122... few photos below.

DC companion to the famous AC Westinghouse grindwinder Early to mid 20's is a close guess I'm taking. Not a lot of those showing up. Hope you found the blade irons with it , not a lot of those laying around either. Great find

Great fan.

Maybe McSorley's would lend you one of theirs! :D

That’s a great fan to find in the “wild”.  They are very uncommon.  I’ve not seen that ribbed spun brass canopy before so count yourself as doubly-lucky. Of course, if you have the blades and irons to go with it, well then, you hit a home run. I won’t say never, but it’s doubtful you’ll find a set of those blade brackets: they are unique to this Westy.  You’ll probably end up copying someone’s original to make a set, if you keep the fan.

Score!
