Hi all, I'm new here and I hope you can help me. My mom had a Fasco H-163A oscillating fan which, with a little coaxing, I got working properly. It's a great example of of how things used to be built (as is her Kenmore sewing machine) and I intend to put it to work in the garage while I work on a vintage car.
I've cleaned and re-lubed the mechanisms and would like to re-paint the fan blades and maybe the guard. Can anyone tell me the colors? It's a sort of blue-gray. And is there a name for the color of the blade hub?
Also, I need to replace a few things
  • The feet are missing. Can I get them anywhere or, if not, what did they look like?
  • The cord was replaced many years ago. Can I get one that looks like the original?
  • The switch still works but is sloppy. If I decide to replace it are old ones available?

Thanks very much for any suggestions.
Richard

Finding a color match will be difficult, you may have to have a paint store mix you some. That is a 50s fan, so the cord is just a standard black lamp cord.
