Over the winter I was fortunate to find 2 rare Edgar T Ward pedestal fans.  I’ve decided to part with this one.  It’s in unrestored condition and will be offered that way for the time being at a considerable savings.  If it doesn’t sell at the asking price, I’ll be restoring it and offering it at Fanfair for more money restored.  This price is only good until I begin restoration in a few weeks.

As it sits right now, it’s $850 See limited time offer in last post.

3 wing, cast blade, aerodynamic shaped column (not round) , stepped cage, hammertone grey/blue paint. This is a great fan!

Motor runs, cage is bent as you can see. Can easily be straightened with a torch and pliers. It is painted silver so it’ll restore nicely. Both fans have some nicks on the blade tips.  It will need a switch and power cord, but I’ll verify that it runs before the sale.  There are only a few of these known in the club and the last deluxe sold for $1300. This has the original unique GE motor that was made for these fans alone.  Has all badges and tags.

Please pm me if interested. Payment via pp friends.

Thanks for looking!

Bump.  Thanks to all who showed interest, but it's still available.  Trades for fans of equal value and reasonable offer considered.

Last call at $700 as is before I begin restoration.  After I begin restoration the fan will be unavailable until it’s finished at a much higher price.
Thanks for looking!

Screw this into a ceiling floor joist in the shed or garage and pull out and round out those bent guard wires. If a weld breaks you can simply use a wire feed welder to attach the wire and doll it up with a Dremel and wire wheel. Spot welder if you have one. :D

Credited to Andy Hackman at California regional.  Andy used a ceiling hung model motor with standard guard. It does give you an idea of what these Ward circulators look like dolled up.

The Ward motors varied as to RPM.  Lane's example has 6 pole motor high speed of 1150 with a lower selection of a 300 RPM drop.  If you have a large living room it'll work.

Thanks Russ!  As always, I have no idea where you dig those ads up but they’re great.

That advertisement, and many others can be credited to AFCA member Mike Kearns. He has painstakingly put to file many advertisements from the web.

A Ward Deluxe before and after pictures.  Notice the guard had to be reconstructed to its original state. New rings and the Deco step up guard wires had to be reproduced and welded in place. It can be done.

Russ, that's my plan to restore the cage if no one buys it unrestored.  I have a spot welder and it'll look factory when I'm finished.  It's not difficult, but just time consuming to get them perfect.

I'll consider trades of BB/BC 12" desk fans of equal value.

Edgar is still for sale.  I’ll entertain offers or trades that interest me close to my asking price and will deliver to any of the 3 northeast meets if fully paid.
Thanks for looking !

Only until Wednesday I’m offering this Edgar T Ward Circulator for $600 if prepaid and only to be delivered to Toms NJ meet next weekend. Fan is as you see it with some cage repairs necessary. But it’s an all original as found rare fan.
After Wednesday, the deal is off and the fan will no longer be for sale as it’s next on the bench for restoration following Toms meet

Last chance to own this cool fan.  Hopefully this will put some of you who were interested over the fence.

Thanks for looking.  Please PM with interest.  Payment via PayPal friends

I will consider trades if it’s something equally interesting and I want it.
