|I'm selling my second Deflector. This one is a bit narrower than the first and as a consequence it may not fit some fans. I have mounted it on my Trojan and it is currently mounted on my '02 Pancake, with struts attached to the motor studs instead of the existing cage strut mounts. This one operates flawlessly, perfectly silent and is geared for the faster fans of the era, ie. it will oscillate at a nice rate at 1500rpm. At 6-800rpm on my pancake, it oscillates in a lazy manner, which I think is easier on the mechanisms altogether.
750$ plus shipping which will likely be somewhere around 60$. I pack in new rigid foam and bubble pack in new boxes.
If fitted to other fans, some mods to the struts might be necessary. Also, the diameter of the blade hub plays a role in how fast it oscillates. Emersons with their large diameter hubs will make it a bit faster. Still should be in the acceptable range, but I haven't installed this on an Emerson at this point.
Comes with three Buna-N drive belts which should hold up nicely. I experimented with garter spring drive but nixed that due to the damage that could happen to your blade if you have an accident. With the rubber belts, they just snap if snagged by the blade.
