Got this fan yesterday for a bargain. Started to take it apart and clean it. I will post more pictures tomorrow about it.

Very nice! The big Emerson Electric logo on it is insanely cool!

Too bad it was missing the badge on the back. The owners before me painted it but they we're smart enough to not paint that emblem.

Great fans! I have its little sister (24") I bought from Louis Weedman. It still has the side chains to hold it in place. Thank goodness they did not paint the Emerson logo!

All ready started to clean it. Putting the sleeve bearings back on was a pain. They have to be alined well and I spent at least 1 hour trying to get that. It also didn't help that I forgot to put new fiber washers on.

Greasy is a good sign that it was at leased oiled some and not let to run dry.

Nice fan. My house had one just like it tucked away in the attic when I bought it... Can't wait to see your progress.

I thought that the bearings were gummed up but it is just the belt. Also do you have a picture of your emerson? Would love to see it.

Yep it's a 24". Is yours a 2 speed? Mine is a one  speed since it was the first year they came out with this model hope to find one also. These are just too cool. I also have a video of me cleaning and taking it apart.

The six blade ones are very cool. A 30" model would blow you away!
