Hello , We found a 1948 or 1949 G.E. Vortalex fan at a salvage shop in the Philippines. The fan looks fair, but the only good parts on it are the base and the blades. The motor doesn’t work and all the gears in the oscillator are worn out. I believe the cage can be straightened. Does anyone have a motor and oscillator assembly for it ?  I will pay for the overseas shipping. I would really like to get it operational again. Thank you. joe21r@email.com

Hi Dave. I have all the parts you see below and you are welcome to all of them if you like. The cage is a sixteen inch cage as is the blade and the vortalex emblem on the center hub is not all there. I guess I gave away the oscillating gears so I can't help you with that. Do you want any of the items below? Free to you. The cage is a different style than the one you have and maybe too big if yours is a 12 inch. Anyone reading this post is welcome to these parts. Just pay shipping.

Does the motor hum if it does then it needs oil. Look into the motor and look to see if the windings or copper coils are burnt. If they are then it will be a rewind but that is too expensive for that fan.

Hello Zachary , The motor needs rewinding for sure, but a used working motor with the oscillator is all it really needs. Thanks , David
