I picked up a 9" Whiz where the blades weren't properly attached to the rotor's shaft (the retaining screw had somehow slipped off the flattened portion of the shaft and welded itself to the rounded part of the shaft itself). No amount of penetrating oil or carefully applied heat could free the blades. It finally came off using a home-made press, but in the process, the blade assembly came apart at the collar. I'm in need of a new collar or blade assembly. Does anyone have anything lying around, taking up space that they'd like to part with? The collar piece itself passes through the hub of the blade assembly and in then pressed on and flattened to retain the fan assembly. Not sure if anyone knows where to find replacements or can recommend someone who can machine these out of brass. Pre-divorce, I had a small lathe and could turn these out myself but now I'll have to rely on the helping hands of others. :(

Okay, so if nobody knows where to find collars, does anyone have a set of blades they'd be willing to sell? Thanks in advance!

The collar was part of the blade and never meant to have extra replacements available.  Extra Whiz blades are not that common but I hope you have some luck.  Check with Chad at antiquefanparts.com

Can't you just have the collar silver soldered back into the blade hub?

Steve,I have a spare set of  9" Whiz blades to offer if you still need them for $25.00 plus $10.00 shipping  This set has a nice uncorroded brass finish but has someusual creases around the hub riveted areas on a couple wings, due to being folded back at one time.  Could be straightenable or you may choose to remove rivets, iron out wrinkles and re-rivet.  If you are interested, let me know and ill text you a couple photos.

Thanks, Jerry Bravi
