The small GE desk fans (1920's and 30's) all used a simple on-off switch.  Does anyone have a working switch they wish to part with?Paul Auerbach

You mean the black plastic toggle that looks like it came out of a wall switch? I’ve only seen a couple installed; the rest of the switches I’ve seen have been the metal kind with the screw-on collar and the knob on the end of the toggle.

The image is the inside. The "switch" is a black plastic (bakelite) switch with a white dot on one side to denote on or off.

That is the switch.  I have the screws.  charge whatever you feel is reasonable.

Sorry Paul. I posted that on the 8th of September, it sold on the 12th. I was just showing a picture of the front of the switch.

They’re hard to find used and I’m not aware of anything made today that fits.

It appears no manufacturer makes this switch.  The originals are vulnerable to getting brittle and falling apart.  I'm figuring out how to fabricate it.
