Also selling my other 16” cake.  I haven’t had time to lookup the year, but my guess is 1906-07.  Paint is in great condition.  Brass cage and blade are perfect! They’re developing a beautiful, even golden patina.  It’s been gone through electrically and mechanically. New cords.
It runs as nice as it looks.  Nothing needed to run
.SOLD ! Thank you!.  This is a big heavy fan so if it’s shipping far, it may be pricey. Cage blade and rotor will be removed for shipping and I’ll personally pack it for safe shipment.  You must be able to reinstall rotor.

Please pm me with questions or interest.

Thanks for looking!

Cheers,
Lane

You're quite welcome, Lane!

It took a few months for me to decide on which cake would likely be my only one. I knew I wanted it to be a GE, have 5 speeds, be 16"(much less common and stands out), double-bearing, smooth base(they just look very elegant), good blades/cage, yoke mount(for tilting) and still have a slightly ornate motor case. The plan was to find a project fan, but then I saw this listing. I can't see anything I don't like about it, and I can sit out a resto-job for the first time since starting fan resto on my own fans. :)

My research shows it to be a first variant 1906, because it has the ridge around the ornate part on the front/back motor casting.

Thank you, Lane!

Thanks for removing the temptation, Alex! I had my eye on this fan from the beginning, but I really want an ‘03 or ‘04... and buying a new metal lathe contributes to my prevarication :P

I've had to bite my hand over a bunch of nice fans listed here!
It is going to a good home, and will be enjoyed for the rest of my life at least. :)
