Since the early part of this year I have been working to finish development of a cast iron oscillating collar featuring all of the original details as the original ones that were made of pot metal years ago. Hopefully these will meet the expectations of fan "purists" that want to maintain the originality of rare fans needing a replacement collar. For the last couple years I have made several runs of steel collars that worked nicely for replacement, but lacked the original detail such as raised bosses and post. I have five of these left which sell for $55.00. The new ones I am offering were cast at Cattail Foundry and fully machined finished by me. I also make the entire brass knob and plunger lock assembly that comes with it. This new cast iron collar is complete and includes priming and painting and is ready to install. The cost will be $65.00 plus $5.00 shipping. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or comments. Thanks, Jerry Bravi ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Your new CAST IRON collar is amazing Jerry. The older steel ones were excellent but cast iron is the cat's meow.

I have one reserved now! Probably the most reasonable solution to the collar problem I have ever seen. Reasonable in practice and cost!

I got my collar today in the mail and right away installed it on my 29646. ![]() ![]() Perfect fit and finish. Increases the value of my fan by more than the purchase price. Can't ask for more than that. It's exactly like the original, minus the crappy pot metal and cracks ![]() Cheers, Bill

You will often notice that the old pot metal collars have worn a lot and, when oscillating, the collar moves around making the oscillation less than precise. Were I to have an Emerson I used with the collar I would be buying a "Bravi-Modification" collar to use. They look great and factory.

Installed the new Jerry Bravi Iron Collar assembly this evening. FANTASTIC! THANK YOU, JERRY! Now the original(good condition) collar will be a Christmas gift to my Dad to replace his messed up collar assembly. I did OCD use a black marker to color the screw heads. ![]() Video of the Bravi Collar in action. Last edited on Mon Dec 2nd, 2019 04:12 am by Alex Rushing |
