If you are willing to ship the blade, you won't go wrong using New England Brass Refinishing, 1085 Main Street, Brockton, MA 02301 (contact the owner, Ron Bethoney - (508) 583-9415). He's a great guy and his work is superb. I've been using him for some time and he does wonderful work including lacquering the blade.

I was trying to remember his name, I want to have him polish my Coleman Deflector. You may think twice before laquering. It will still tarnish sooner or later and then the laquer must be removed before re-polishing.

Richard: He has asked me to bring my deflector to him so he can look it over. I will do that tomorrow

SO funny, I had one sitting in a shop in Lynchburg VA for almost 20 years. He died, I recovered the cage & blade from his daughter (A GE Collar Oscillator) & sold it to our fellow member I had sold the fan to.

I just now dropped off my deflector to Ron Bethoney. It was tarnished but I always hesitated bringing it to him because I figured he’d never be able to take it apart. But he wanted to have a crack at it so I left it with him. So now we’ll see
