Got this last night locally for $100. My friend wanted it at first but I think he backed out when he saw the size of it. I believe I will keep it for out in the shop. The chrome is completly gone, and it only worked on one speed when the seller plugged it in for me. Haven't opened it up yet to see if the speed coil is in there. Is this the same or similar motor to the 24" Vortalex? I have one at home but have not put them side by side to compare.

I guess that answers my motor question. I wish this thing hadn't got wet last night so I could play with it. There is a pull switch but I believe there should be two? One for power and one for speed, from what I saw in a video.

Didn't they have a voltage regulator? My switch stopped working on my 35 - - the one I got at auction in 2016 FanFair -the chain pulls & clicks but the speed number sticks, so it's POWERSTAT to the rescue!!

Spent an afternoon de-rusting and painting. And a couple hours last night polishing. Not perfect, I'd say a ten footer. But then, any closer than ten foot you'd loose your hat! 80(?) year old bearings take nearly two minutes to spin down. I'll try to post a video.

Was looking at that Fanfair(?) picture, I didn't even try to extend mine, it's already 7' tall.

That is some beast you have there. I have a model 26 and use it in the shop all summer long.

Got a spare badge I think if you need one, they used the same size as 14 - 20 in models (??))
