My favorite shop fan is a 16" Signal 1251. It blows like a hurricane and is smooth as silk. The oscillating action won't complete a full cycle because the brass gear that meshes with the worm gear is worn badly. Flipping it over on the shaft in hopes of having more meat on the other side didn't help. I'd like to buy a complete oscillator assembly for a similar Signal fan. I checked with Duane Burright first only to learn he lost his stash of Signals in a fire back in 2018.

I believe it is. Sure looks like the same thumb wheel on the oscillator. I read Duane Burright’sSignal history and learned they made fans for Sears.

I guess it doesn't matter about the material. Seems the fiber gears last forever in Emersons

I think if the grease is good the parts will last - - I admit I have many fans that need new grease
