 Hi,
Does the 1510 have a leather sealing washing where the hub is installed?
The diagram from a later time shows one.

 The answer is YES, all Emersons that have a screw-on blade use a leather or rawhide sealing washer there.   New washers can be had from Darrel Hudson.
