All of you early GE cake collectors, take a look at your 1897 10 inch and/or 12 inch fans. While most will say Type UI Form F or Form E3, I'm looking to see if anyone has an F2 or E4 model. These would be the 1897/98 intermediate models. I have none listed in the GE survey. Thanks.

I can't help you Kim. My '98 10 pancake is 1898 10” S UI F3 115 60 serial # 19304 - last patent date- 5/27/90The intermediate form you are looking for has some different details from this later form.   Last edited on Thu Nov 18th, 2021 11:12 pm by Steve Stephens |

Looking thru the A.R.Everest report, he mentions that the intermediary F2 and E4 have a new switch and bearings. Nothing visually different except the motor tag designation. Doing further research, I found a copy of the GE pancake survey dated June 1992 listing one member having the E4 model. Attached Image (viewed 329 times):

The visual differences between the '97 E3 and the '98 E5 are with the cages and blades. The E5 have cages with integrated struts and blades held to the shaft by just a set screw.
