not sure if these are pre 1950, I bought this desk fan to go with the Pedestal I bought, same design, different makers marks Heavy duty all metal construction. The desk model switch looks like a blender base!

It looks to be Japanese with the 100V-110V AC rating and 50-60 Cycle rating, but the name of the manufacturer would suggest Chinese or Taiwanese but since China and Taiwan both use 220V AC that would make me think Japanese for sure.

yes, I would of thought maybe a fan made in China or Taiwan for export to Japan or the US but with the Chinese/Japanese characters on the fan's ID badge I would think maybe it was meant for export to Japan seeing as Japan is the only other country in that part of the world that uses 110V like we do... :wondering:
