EDITED 5-3-12------------NEW MORE FLEXIBLE BLACK BATCH IS IN! Both wires are 18g twisted pair, copper, WITH nylon braid over pvc insulated.  Black wire tracer color can best be described as a light tan.

Black wire is a new batch and is very flexible, much more so than the first batch I made.  It has 65 strands of copper per conductor and the pvc insulation is also more flexible and this change is the reason for it being more than the green.

The green is the same as I've had all along and I won't be making a new batch until I run out of this batch.  Probably a year or more since it is not as popular aa the black.  When I do it again I will use the same flexible wire as the black and it will of course cost more at that time.

Black wire is $1.35/ft including shipping.

Green wire is $1.10/ft including shipping.

PM me or email me at swimm@verizon.net if interested.

Randy, there should be a real need for power cord that matches the original that Emerson used in the teens through 20s. Same for the same era Westyhouse and GE power cords. They are not twisted pair. Getting the outside size to match the original would be a BIG plus as well as the color and weave of the outer jacket.

Randy, I got your check on the 15th of Feb. and sent it out UPS on the 16th of Feb.  I don't know how much faster I could get it out, but according to the UPS tracking you got the wire today. I think you jumped the gun a little bit.

Thanks everyone who bought wire from me at Fan Fair.  I was fortunate enough to have sold several hundred feet while I was there.  I have some left if anyone that wasn't there is interested.  Thanks again, Randy

Hi Randy, you mentioned in a later posting that your looking for  suggestions on a wire to manufacture.  Well, I have run across a lot of fans that have a black twisted cotton wire with a cotton over braid.  Since its twisted its a bit fancier than a toaster cord, that might be a welcome mix.  It seems it turns up on G.E.s more often than not.  Do you have anything like that in the works?

Larry-I don't but Old Time Radio does and it's really great wire but a little expensive.  Tom Newcity uses it on his restorations.  Very flexible and period correct.  I don't remember what it is called on there website but Tom Newcity can help.  I'm concentrating on trying to make wire that other manufacturers don't make.  Thanks for the input.

I first thought of Olde tyme radio... but couldn't find a web link.  After re-reading my post, I can see where you might misunderstand my original intent.  Sundial made it a long time ago and called it 2 conductor Bungalow cord.  They make a three conductor now, which is darn good stuff.  Perhaps they may go back to a two wire cord.  I just think a two conductor and a three conductor bungalow cord in black or Pullman green rayon would look nice.

Larry-Google OTR + Wire.  It's #6 on there webpage called 2 conductor head wire.  I'm pretty sure that's what you are looking for.

Any chance of making the correct light green wire for GE fans?
