I have a one speed coin op, unrestored, from my collection for trade. It is fully operational, is totally complete with repop locking bank door and has been completely gone through. The numbers all match on the handle, instruction plate, and switch plate. It has a brass blade and a steel cage, correct for this model. It runs for about 65 minutes on a nickel, as I remember. I will trade even up for a 1904 stickmount GE pancake in decent unrestored condition. It would need to be correct and complete, and in operational condition with all five speeds working. The wrap around brass info band is preferred, but will consider the steel band with riveted tag. It would be a type AB form D. The base will be half ribbed and would have the single set screw holding the motor to the base. Cage would be 8 wire drop ring, wrapped or pierced, and the blade would be brass with stamped brass hub. If you have this fan and are interested in a straight up trade, call, email or PM me. I can provide pictures of the coin op.....The 1904 stick mount cake is the only thing I will consider for trade. The coin op fan is not for sale otherwise....... I've been hearing that people that have these GE 1904 stickmount pancakes have been coming down with excema, shingles, ED, and adult onset acne. How horrible it would be for you to be confused with an Emerson collector. Just because I'm a nice guy, let me take one of these fans off of your hands before you fall victim to one or more of these maladies..... That is a 1905 Ted. Lay off the Scotch for a bit and go out there in your shop and dig out that '04 stickmount I know you have buried in there. I'll throw in a fifth of Glenfiddich....... Steve, that's a tempting offer, but I just traded off my 8 inch Berstead collection for a nine pack of Miller Lite pints and a bag of Redman.....

Ted, 1904 was the last GE with a Form letter (D) until Form letters reappeared c.1914 and, then, continued to 1939. 1905 is the last pancake with any ribs on the base. You won't be tested on this by the way.

I'd be happy if someone posted a picture of their 1904 stickmount with a brass band info tag and told me "I have one but it's not for sale or trade". Just knowing that it exists would be nice...it can't be that rare.... I really got my hopes up when I got an email from Santa Claus saying that if I could be a good boy until Dec 24th, there might be that fan I'm looking for under the tree. Then my hopes skyrocketed when I got an email from the Easter Bunny saying that there might be the fan I was looking for hidden in a colorful egg. Finally hope turned to despair when I got an email from an intelligent Emerson collector saying they knew where the fan I was looking for was located............I knew I was being punked because while there might be a Santa Claus and an Easter Bunny, everybody knows that there ain't no such thing as an intelligent Emerson collector. Kim, This is a sough after beauty, breath taking, heart attack causing and who knows what else! All original, the stick also original-transitional, outside the partially ribbed base are polished 5 speed choke windings ....Patina is dripping of the stick! It's got to be the scotch effect.... Ted, that is a beauty for sure, but Steve is right, It's got to be a three strut......After seeing what that coin op on Ebay just went for, and the seller wasn't sure if everything was there, I may have to reconsider this offer.....

Coin Ups. are far rarer (complete operational) than Sticks. If I only new the exact details of this 1904 Stick Mount I would go out there in the world and find you one + I would give you gratis rare EMERSOON. DON'T DO IT!!!

So the one on the picture above with brass bend I posted has the extra thumb bolt...and that makes the difference between 1904 that you want and and 1905 I have? And the one with original bend namplate I send you pictures (what happend to them) is with one set screw but the Form is not "D" and that makes it 1903? This is crazzzzzzzzzzzzzy... I'm going to bed.

Louis, what is the form letter? C or D.....?? or if you can't tell, is the switch round and mounted to the base or is it round and mounted on an adapter plate and then mounted to the base??

I've never seen a GE that needed babysitting......If your fan is factory original, then it's probably a late 1903. A ten wire cage would be correct to the fan, as would an eight wire cage. 1903 was a year of transition, as seen with the stamped brass hub. All sorts of combinations of 8 and 10 wire cages and cast and stamped brass hubs on the blades are seen, especially later into the year's production. A ten wire might be seen on an '04, but not as a rule. Same with a cast brass blade hub. Louis, let us know what the form number is when you get a chance. I'm guessing C ....... I traded for a 1904 stick with a brass band a couple of years ago. It was a fantasticrestorations debacle. Anyhow, the brass band on it came from a form B. Knowing 'ol fantastic's reputation for mixing up parts, the fan also came with a Jandus blade, I have always wondered if the fan had a form D brass wrap around tag originally....
