Do you still have the original coil and laminations? If so, how about getting a new wind? It is a single coil wrap. That wind is more gravy than a coil with multiple taps. 7 chances out of 10, a 1510 will have a dead coil. I should know, the 1510 I bought had a dead coil.:D That kinda narrows your chances of getting a functional original like down to a needle in a hay stack. Just a thought. Good luck!

All you need is a small stack of Emerson laminations from bomber, and a single coil wind done at the right amount of winds and your in business. I bet a tank choke could be slapped on that switch?

The Newcity may know the number of winds of wire and laminations needed for a 1510? The Newcity keeps records of everything. The Newcity is a heap of discipline on two legs.

I still have my old one from my 1510. The problem is I am in eyeoha...the coil is in Wisconsin. I am telling you....you can improvise another coil and laminations for either the 1510 or 11666. I should know....I once owned them both. And both have functional NEW coils in them. If you can't wind the coils...find someone to wind em for ya When plan A sucks....use the back door.... to plan B. :D

I tell about that 910, if it's still setting there at a $100, I can promise you I am all in on it. All it need is some blade work and a cage with struts, well worth more than $100.

The motor housing goes around the stator. The primary and start windings are wound IN the stator.

Or, you have a very unique 1510. Gotta get me one of those.

No you don't sound stupid, your just learning. Big difference.

Can you take a picture of the front of the motor with the front motor cover and blade off? This way we can nip this puppy in the bud.

Cool beans, with a picture of the insides we can pin down EXACTLY what you need. The reason your post wasn't being answered is everyone thought you were referring to the SPEED COIL on the switch. Remember...coil for speeds....stator in the motor housing for an AC fan. :D

Allen needs the complete motor stator or field coil and starting switch. Blame me for him calling it just a coil, and also blame me for him not having the "Coil" and switch because I put it in a "safe place" years ago.  I will get pics of the motor housing.

Allen or John, getting the real deal for that one might be kind of tough? Then again, maybe someone out there has a spare Emerson split phase to fit that housing?

Another tip is to keep an eye peeled on ebay for Emerson fractional utility motors of that size and time period. They may have bush bearings and rotor with shaft, but the stator in them may be your ticket.

Another option may be the use of the stator with three wire head cord and with a modified speed coil? Just a thought.

Good Luck.
