I have a Clamshell I will start resto on soon and need both oilers with plungers and set screws for brush holders if anyone has spare Clamshell parts :P

Ill be brining a clamshell stump to Aiken. It doesnt have oilers though.When you mean set screws for the brush holders do you mean the screws that push the brushes in?

Did the grease cups come with a plunger, or just a short piece of brass wire?

Darryl said it was just grease cup, I've seen them with plungers but that must have been a personal touch

Mine has grease cups only but it's a later model with aluminum tags :?.

Mine also has grease cups only. Darryl Hudson says they are designed to use Vaseline.  I think that as a bearing heats, the Vaseline slowly gravity feeds.

I am customizing one currently. Very simple, timeless design.

Mine had grease cups, one of the cups had a brass stir stick in it. Other members have mentioned the stir stick too. I made some custom plungers for mine just because I thought they would work better.

Ron, if you were the painter at Menominee back in 1917, I bet the clamshell could have sold for a lot more than $5.50.

It seems that most "mid clams" have the top screw hole above the grease cup machined off to the side:
