'65

I prefer the 4 on the floor with Hurst shifter though.

I believe it's a '65.  Round pods left and right of the instrument panel with a vacuum gauge in the right pod.

I guarantee if Nick Loos had anything to do with this fan, it's better than new.

Nick,
From my limited experience, I see 80% of the time I blast the base, some evidence of an electrical mishap. On these little fans.
Almost always near the switch on these whiz fans. giving Gee Whiz a new meaning.
I have started to experiment with coating the interior with spray rubber...I know not keeping it 100% original....but I rather keep my family members original.
You see this evidence of electrical short often ?

Which came first, the exclamation "Gee Whiz", or did that saying sprout from the name of this fan, such as used by Beaver from "Leave it to Beaver"?

Another question, not related to the fan. Is it just my PC or my eyes, or is there a more and more recurring problem on eBay with there lettering running together? Look on Nick's auction description, the lines are running together from top to bottom. I see this more and more...

It may be your browser. It looks fine on my iPad app and my windows ie browser.
I have seen issues on ebay when you format your text in another app, like word and copy and paste in ebay.

On this Whiz, the contacts on the switch were insulated with a heavy fiber paper to keep the terminals from contacting the cast iron base, if that is what you are talking about. Maybe this was a later model to correct the problem?

Thanks guys for the kind words. Thanks to Jim and Troy for putting the link to ebay on here. Jim, your the Whiz Kid on the computer. Wish I could do the things that you do.

The car is a 65 Chevy SS 327  300 hp. More than that now. 4 speed rock crusher 12 volt rear end electric cutouts, one year color- evening orchid. Whish it was red but want to keep it original.  38 thousand miles with in dash tach. A hot rod that was never hot rodded.

Wow!!! $510 for a GE Whiz? Is this the going price, or just because it was restored by the best of the best?
