If you have 4 Westinghouse Tank  Feet laying around, I would like to buy them. I know that Darryl Hudson sells them and I am working on getting up an order to place with Darryl. However, I would like to finish this project ASAP.

Thanks,

Dean

Dean and Ron,

I need to order some feet for my Westinghouse tanks from Darryl. Could you let me know what size to order? I just don't want to get it wrong. I appreciate it.

Steven: Just tell him you need them for a Westinghouse Tank - Darryl will know what to send. If you come down to his meet in April - you can save postage and pick them up at his place.

Sounds good. I appreciate it. I will be there but trying to finish up a project before I get down there to hopefully show people. You going to be there Ron? Would be good to see you again and drink some beers or even many beers.

Thank You again for the help Ron! The motor housing still has it's original paint. The outer ring, of the cage was Broken, and re-welded. You can not tell where it was repaired. After a lot of filing and sanding the cage looks Awesome! The base was a Rust Bucket and had to be refinished.

That looks great Dean. I have a 16" Westy just like yours sitting on the "fix me" shelf. It is one powerful fan. Mark

Dean, did you re-do the tag yourself, too? Or, do you have a source for "like new" tags? It really looks great. BTW, I think I'll be needing 5 feet for my Westy at some point as well.

Mark, I restored the tag using black lacquer, then sanding it in the sink using 2000 and 2500 grit sand paper. Darryl Hudson has the feet and screw in grommet.

They are are called stem bumpers. You can buy a bag of 100 from Mcmaster. They are identical to Darryl's tank feet, so I would assume that is where Darryl got them from?  If you need a handful for a fan or few, Darryl is the way to go. If you do a lot of restoration on your own, bulk orders online can save you a lot of jing.

This is a photo of a Whirlpool refrigerator compressor. Do you recognize anything in the photo? The four rubber grommets fit a 1/2" diameter hole.

Thanks Dean.  PM'd Darryl and the feet and grommets are on their way - gonna try my hands at the tag, we'll see how it turns out.

Marc,
Let the paint dry over night. Call me when you are ready to sand it and I will give you some tips. 706 405 9212

Dean,

Should I strip the whole thing first to bring it down to the original surface, then repaint it? Or, just repaint over the existing paint layer?
