If someone would like to sell their EMERSON 2150 non-oscillator, I would gladly entertain an offer?  I am trying to restore mine and need some parts, mainly the fan blade.

MY MISTAKE!!! IT IS A: 2150

Thank you,

Fred

Daniel, the 2250 is a oscillator, I think. I need the non-oscillator, but thanks!

Tried sending a picture but have no idea if it made it to you? This website is very strange when trying to post pictures.  Let me know?

That is much later than I was thinking and is the equivalent, I think, of the B-Jr. non-oscillator; just a few years later with the zinc badge.   Parts would probably be the same.  The oscillators are more common.  Sorry I can't help you with parts or a fan.

Steve, this is a 10" fan. I have sent the badge to Donald Coleman already.  It says:

EMERSON TYPE 2150

THANKS,

FRED

Yes, you are right, I was wrong (again).  It is a 2150 not 1250.

Thank you for your reply!

Fred, when I was your age I would sometimes make mistakes.  I still do at 72 make mistakes.   If I am not mistaken you are humbly forgiven.  Good luck on your search for your fan.   What's the date code on the cage badge, I'll look up what fan you want in our gallery Emerson catalogs?

Steve, I'm not sure about a date code on the badge?  I'll look again, but pretty sure all that's on it is:  Emerson Type 2150 10" non-osc. I think the number 15 is under the 5 amp.

Fred, are you replacing and riviting the wings to your blade? If so I will send you steel blades. If you have bent blades on a hub and if I have good blades on a hub I would swap with you as I am replacing with brass and just need a hub. 2150 and 2250 should be interchangeable.

What else do you need for the fan? I have a few parts.

Chris, I am trying to find another steel blade with hub because someone replaced the set screw on the hub decades ago and the two metals are fused together. I took it to Jim (The Fan Man) but it was impossible to break loose.  We tried drilling  out but that was a failure too.  So, the next step is going to a machine shop and have them do whatever it takes to get the blade off the shaft.  I'm afraid the hub is going to be destroyed.  I will take it to them Wed. and see if they will try. I will let you know what happens and if it is ok, I will take a picture and send to you.

Fred

Fred,

Did not realize the hub had a set screw. I do have a 2250 oscillator in pieces. Should be identical. The hub has 3 steel blades attached. For the cost of shipping I would send you the good hub with 3 blades attached and you could pull a blade from your hub to complete it.

The set screw hub is yours if you need it. Not needing to swap or anything as I have an extra that cant imagine needing

Hi Fred,
Just received an Emerson 2150 from the son of the original owner. It is in near mint condition, non osc. I could find no numbers or id tag, but on the back of the blade is stamped 16 deg. The degree sign being a small high placed "0". Runs perfectly, no bent blades, shinny black. It is listed in an ad for 1936. this is how it arrived, I havn't cleaned it up yet.

I only have 5 fans, 2 of them octigons and a 32" Fresh'nd aire that is in restoration now. I am 76 and recently discovered old fans. What fun,
If the photos are not present, let me know as the upload new photo didn't seem to be working correctly.

Dale

I just cleaned and restored this one... I left all the paina on the motor and just cleaned it... The base was toasted so it got stripped and Rust-o-leum paint... The badge cleaned up pretty good... Those are wonderful fans!

That's a beautiful fan George! I picked up a 2250-B last summer with the original box and it's perfect! But I see your's has gold painted blades. Is that just what you liked or is that the original colors?
