Got the badge cut and cleaned.  Will sort and toss out the flaw ones.  The FWEW badge still needs to be cut.

Some have already tarnish...yellowing. Again, these are fresh and will tarnish a bit nicely. You will need to file the back just a tad bit...if you really nice it flat/flush. I'll leave these up to you. It is hot and I need to chill. George, I did take some more photos of the casting process...will upload later....silicon mold.

Here are the silicon molds I used to make the wax to cast.  I can make more if necessary...I learn this the hard way.  Chris Campbell suggested I use silicon mold.  The grayish stuff is the silicon and the yellow stuff is to give silicon some structure...tends to flap around.

I'll be casting the small R&M open commutator badge next for my mini-lollipop project.  Post here if you are interested.

Yes I found one. I figured since I'm casting some for my mini-lollipop...might as well.

All cleaned.  I decided to try and polish one.  You will need to run the back with a belt sander to level it.  I made sure there was plenty of metal in the back for this purpose.

Note the metal will yellow with time.  The first two was taken outside in the sun and the last picture inside.

The screw used on the ECK is 8-32

Please do NOT use a wire wheel to polish the badge.  I used a dremel polishing wheeel with red rouge and wiped off with a cloth.

When you get the badge, please read the first page (first post) of this post. Some information on how to treat the badge were lost.
