I’m looking to trade my 16” Western Electric Bipolar for a 12” model in original and unpolished shape

. I’ve tried wiring it up directly with a bridge rectifier and haven’t had any luck— no hum at all. Commutator looks decent and the windings don’t have any obvious damage to my eye. The fan is in great cosmetic shape, only a few bends in the cage and missing it’s oilers and bearing cover, all of which Darryl makes.

You might want to contact Bill Fanum for an assist on why the motor won't start. Solving that issue might jumpstart a sale/trade.
