Should be there by tomorrow? I can't see why it would take that long for a 3 hour trip.

"Read what they said". It was re wrapped in Tenn. That was what the original box looked like before they re wrapped. They just put it in a bigger box.

When and if hopefully the badges show up the majority of the badges need a brass machine screw soldered to the back to mount them on the cage.  The original Diehl and ECK badges were thinly stamped brass with a machine screw soldered to the back, with them being concave the arc allowed the screw head to be hidden within the badge.  The cast badges are flat and do not allow the screw head to be hidden and cause the badge to protrude from the cage.  If the bolt is ground almost flat it reduces the protrusion.  The other solution would be to drill and tap the badge and insert a machine screw with the head cut off thus eliminating any protrusion .

I vote for drilling and taping...looks much cleaner.  Also, the original stamped badges had a brass clip that was soldered and bent over the small ring in the center...acting like a clip.

Arrived for pickup.  Now lets hope the package is safe and sound.  I doubled box and used plenty of cushions and duck tapes.

George might not remember but years ago I sent him an Eck cage he needed. It was literally going 50-60 miles. That thing went everywhere around his house but not his house for 2.0 weeks. I think it was in Kentucky at one point and Tennessee at another. We both tracked it, it was crazy. I think Cutler must be some kind of space time continuum...

It’s because George’s “people” check all packages coming into the state for any fan or related items.   It all goes through a secret network.  They probably didn’t realize the badges were already heading his way. I use an alias when buying fans in Indiana for my personal safety.  😉

Yes, this is my preferred method. Easier for me to keep track of. I will tally them up when ready to make one more batch. Deadline for order will close at end of next month...End of August.

I put you down for one Victor and one ECK.

I am hoping that other members would be interested in having Louis cast the early lead filled Emerson badge, to the best of my knowledge replacements are not currently available. If there’s a good enough response for need Louis says he will add them to his final badge order.
Please respond to this message indicating your interest and anticipated number of badges

Thanks
Rick

All the cages that uses cast lead filled badges used the same size badge, they made their lives easier.

Last call...this will be my last casting for badges. I will be dropping off the mold end of month and hopefully picking up some stuff. Otherwise, moving on to other projects.

Yes Steve they are completed.  I just need to pick them up.  I will be doing one last casting of the badges.  I made enough for everyone but forgot me.  I would like to keep some Victors and ECK.  After that...I will only make the 8" R&M badges and cast the tiny Hunter badge.  The 8" R&M will be printed as it is too thin to cast.  Will be drawing it up this weekend.  I will be moving onto to this as soon as it arrives in the mail...three Christie's small motor and geissler catalogs.  This should provide me with lots of pictures to make parts from including complete motors.
