    I don't get it, is there something hinky? I can't see how an address could be obscured or removed..... It was a request for a tag, shouldabeen in BST, and public.....

 This happened to me as well.  A person joined the forum, sent you a PM, and then the moderators deleted their account. 
When it happened to me, the offence they had committed was not using their actual name. In spite of an ongoing discussion, the new member was deleted leaving a scenario like this.
