I’m wondering if someone can tell me the name of the broken part shown in the picture,

one picture has the correct piece one picture has the broken piece. So hopefully somebody can tell me the name of the part and maybe if someone has one they could let me know. Thank you, again, Jim. It is a Westinghouse 517520.  It’s small.  Eight inch blades.

Hi James,I'll take a try at the name of the part you need.   I would call it the on/off plunger assembly with collar that screws into the top of the oscillating gearbox.   I think yours is made of some type of plastic while earlier ones were made of brass or bronze.   Try Chad Baker at antiquefanparts.com and, if not on the website, phone him to ask.   I don't think he lists all of his parts on the website.

I’m in contact with Antique Fan Parts, now.  Unfortunately the two cardboard like washers on either end of the spindle (I’m not newbie to fans and have cleaned out/ de gummed them before but I don’t know correct part names, sorry!). The fell apart like I’ve never seen and the gumminess on this one is crazy!  All help asked for.  😀

That is the rotor. The shaft is the long spindle that goes through it. You can get fiber washers at Home Depot or maybe Ace.
