This is a early 1917 manufacture based on the implemented in 17 carry handle and guard badge. Original from the factory ratchet case(ball detent) and all. And yes the enamel is original with minor enamel loss and damage here and there. The fan was test run and passed in flying colors prior to me removing the damaged power cord. The head cord is original to the fan. The fan runs great on all 3 speeds with NO bearing chatter. The blade wings have some creasing around the cast spider fingers, but the blade wings are all in line and run smooth (I strobed the blade and all 4 wings are in alignment.) The fan head pivot, parts of the ratchet case, and adjustment collar are all die cast (pot metal) and will require new finish. The ratchet case is for most part intact and functional with the exception of a small fracture seen in the pictures on the lower disc. It does not affect form or function. I will make a switch cover in its original likeness and throw it in with the deal. It will be sold as is for you to bring back to its original glory the way you want it done. I don't find fans up here like I did in the not to distant past, especially in this condition. takes it with shipping/Insurance included anywhere in the continental US. I will remove the blade, guard, and struts and pack in a separate box. I will also disconnect the linkage from the ratchet case(ball detent) to prevent damage to it. Hey Roger, Take a good look at the image of the ratchet cast oscillator wheel image to see the small fracture in the bottom cover. Jerry Bravi reproduced them in past and they are still available seen in the link below. All you have to do is clean the enamel, polish it, put a power cord and plug on, and your 4 rubber footsies. Steveo would be proud of you to leave the brass as is. BTW....I used a fine wire wheel on a drill to get down to the metal of the die cast adjustment collar and ratchet case.
