|Greetings Everyone !
I bought this off of my neighbor who was no longer using it and had it stored in their barn. It was in working order
( he proved it by plugging in the cord - I sure as heck wouldn’t of added juice while holding onto it ) there were no noises of concern or billowing smoke but it clearly needed to be over hauled in general. He used it to circulate the air for his sheep in the understory of the barn in hot weather. I love most things vintage / antique and planned on getting it back up to snuff so to speak to use as a shop fan.
This forum has been a godsend in educating me about these fans. Although I do appreciate the style / model, I’m not in love with it and never planned to do a full on proper restoration. Which after reading the different threads here in the forum it felt better to me to offer it to those who really do love this particular style and may be interested in doing a full restore.
I had just started taking it apart. Removed grill, motor, capacitor and switch. Hacked off scary power cord but saved the plug. Everything is here. Ive yet to even really scrub all the filth off minus the fan blades.
I would like to recover what I paid which was $ 50.00 OBO
Westinghouse Mobilaire - 2 speed - adjustable height / wheeled stand ( 1 wheel is seized )

There was a post by Bill Kreiner posted June 21, 2006 about mobilaire models and manufacture dates where it was stated that theres no real record of the 16MA3 “but if it existed, it was a short lived early 1953 model”
I’ll leave that to you experts here in the forum.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions. I will do my best but know I am a bit of a novice with this particular fan and I have learned most of what I know here on this forum.
Fan is located in the Mt. Jackson / Edinburg VA area.
I’m trying to figure out how to upload multiple pictures - apologies
