I might add that you'll see a stiffening band on the badges of some 1904/05 12 inch cages....and I'm still a proponent of some 1904 and later GE cakes having 8 wire wrapped cages and feel they weren't BMY donor cages. Here's the reasoning behind my thoughts. Pull the crimped disk from the back of the badge on any BMY cage after 1908. What you'll see is a stamped brass hub holding the s-wires.........
